Messerschmitt Bf 109G replica

The Messerschmitt Bf 109G replica is a full size fibreglass and timber replica that was constructed for the 1988 Bi-Centennial Air Show at RAAF Base Richmond NSW.

The replica was generously donated to Hunter Fighter Collection Inc. by the Fighter World Board. The aircraft is painted to represent the aircraft of Oberleutnant Carl Hans Roders who was killed when his Messerschmitt was shot down by a Spitfire over the English Channel on 23rd June, 1941.

Over the next 12 months Hunter Fighter Collection will be refurbishing the replica and refinishing the aircraft in an exciting WWII colour scheme which has great significance in respect of another aircraft in our collection.

The Messerschmitt Bf 109G replica is on display at the Hunter Warbirds Aviation Attraction at Scone NSW.
